Nolongerlonely.com is a safe secure area for people with mental illness to relate to others and find romance and friendship.  There is a comfort knowing that all users on the site have some form of mental illness so that Nll'rs are free from the constraints of stigma and the fear of disclosure.

Your first step is to create a profile.  You will choose a username which is how you are identified on the site.  Your email address will be hidden.  Your only identifying mark is if you decide to upload a photo for your profile.  Answer questions and create compelling essay portions and you are well on your way.  After submitting your profile the webmaster will look it over and most likely immediately approve it.  At that point you have complete access to the site.

Now you can search for other users either generally or by specific criteria.  If you find someone that piques your interest send them a message and see what happens.

The site has other features such as a vibrant chat room, forums, a space for posting a blog, poems or stories, artwork and favorite youtube videos.

If you are worried about your safety be assured that the webmaster manually approves every profile and does IP checking to see the country of origin for each profile.  Every day he is turning away potentially malicious profiles.  His success is not 100% but the site is well self-policed and illegal users do not last long.  If you find something suspicious (broken english, overly enthusiastic pledges of affection, telling strange stories, or asking for money) report it to the webmaster.
